Christian Rossi took his first steps in the world of comic art in 1979, working for magazines such as Pilote, Circus, Pif and Gomme. At the same time, he continued his work as a cartoonist for Le Nouvel Observateur, Okapi, Le Point, L’Écho des savanes, Je Bouquine and France Soir. He lent his talent to numerous scriptwriters, including Serge Le Tendre, Pierre Makyo and Jean Giraud.
In 2003, his career took a new turn with W.E.S.T. (published by Dargaud), a series bringing together two talented scriptwriters: Fabien and Xavier Dorison. Alongside the series close to his heart (Tirésias, La Gloire d’Héra, script by Serge le Tendre, published by Dargaud), Christian Rossi oversees the adaptation of major novels into comic books, notably La Compagnie des Glaces, a futuristic epic written by G.-J. Arnaud. He produced the one-shot Deadline, based on a script by Laurent-Frédéric Bollée (published by Glénat), which was released in 2013. In 2015, Rossi collaborated with Matz to create a ninth installment in the XIII Mystery series: Felicity Brown. In 2018, he published Le cœur des Amazones (script by Géraldine Bindi) with Casterman, which allowed him to explore a different artistic style. He subsequently released Golden West (2023) and Comanche Trail (2026).
