From the infinitely large to the infinitely small

Frédéric Pillot is one of the most talented children's authors and illustrators of his generation. Over the course of a thirty-year career, he has sold more than two million books and published dozens of titles that have been translated around the world. His series Lulu Vroumette, created with his longtime collaborator Daniel Picouly, was adapted into an animated television series that ran for three seasons and was broadcast internationally. Another successful collaboration, Moi, Thérèse Miaou, created with writer Gérard Moncomble, is currently being adapted for animation. Renowned for his meticulous attention to detail and mastery of perspective, Pillot has established himself as one of the leading comic artists in the field of children's publishing. His gallery of endearing characters and his luminous, magical worlds have captivated generations of young readers. Exhibitions of his original artworks travel throughout France year-round, reflecting the enduring popularity of his work. In collaboration with Gérard Moncomble, he published his first children's book with Éditions Daniel Maghen in 2020, Balbuzar, le pirate aux oiseaux (Balbuzar, the Bird Pirate), followed by Voleur d’anniversaires ! (The Birthday Thief!) in 2023.

He also collaborates with Sarbacane Publishing, for which he illustrated Two Years' Vacation (2023) and The Last of the Mohicans (2025).
