From February 12 to March 8, 2025 (extended until March 15), the Daniel Maghen Gallery is proud to dedicate an exhibition to heroic fantasy artist Vincent Mallié, an iconic figure in contemporary comics and a talented comic artist.

An exceptional exhibition featuring 200 works

Mallié took over the legendary series La Quête de l'Oiseau du Temps (written by Loisel & Le Tendre) and created the artwork for the sagas Le Grand Mort (written by Loisel & Djian) and Ténébreuse (written by Hubert). This exhibition dedicated to Vincent Mallié spans his 15-year career through a selection of 200 artworks from his main series.

This is an opportunity to unveil the original pages from the latest album in La Quête de l’Oiseau du Temps – Avant la Quête: L’Omegon, released in November 2024, which offers a masterful and explosive ending to the famous saga, as well as artworks created especially for the event. For the very first time, the exhibition will highlight another facet of his work: illustration. In this field too, this powerful creator of worlds deploys all his talent as a draftsman and watercolorist to bring to life the adventures of Chevalier Léon, Arsène Lupin, and Sherlock Holmes. His work features magnificent use of light and breathtaking settings.

The exhibition will allow visitors to admire the graphic virtuosity of this artist, his realistic style, combining a supple and expressive line, an innate sense of staging, and meticulous attention to detail, as well as the delicate palette of this outstanding colorist.
