Trained in British comic strips, Paul Jeacock draws with a keen sense of composition and visual storytelling, which he now applies to highly precise mixed-media illustrations. Having worked in film on productions such as Mad Max: Fury Road, he retains a highly cinematic approach, particularly in his character design.
To ensure that your pages are kept in good condition, we recommend that you never expose them to direct light, as UV rays can damage the media used to produce them. Although Indian ink is a perennial material, the paper support may change when exposed to UV light. Note that watercolor plates require special attention, as this medium is particularly sensitive to light. Pieces containing pastel or charcoal require special care to avoid rubbing.
We advise you to display them away from windows, and to use frames made of pH-neutral conservation materials and “Museum” glass with anti-UV and anti-reflective treatment. If you prefer to keep your works unframed, we recommend storing them flat, in drawing cartons, with sheets of pH-neutral permanent paper in between. Keep them away from light and humidity
Paul Jeacock began his career in the world of comic strips, working with 2000 AD, Black Library, and White Dwarf. There, he drew the series Deff Skwadron and Ulli and Marquand, published in collaboration with writer Gordon Rennie and subsequently reprinted in collected volumes. Building on this experience, he became a recognized contributor to publications by Games Workshop and Fantasy Flight Games, creating numerous covers for comics, novels and card games, as well as illustrations for White Dwarf magazine. His career also extends to film, television and video games: notably, he has worked for Jim Henson’s Creature Shop in London, contributing to major productions such as Mad Max: Fury Road. His style, combining technical precision with an eye for detail, has made him a leading figure in the Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 universes, where his illustrations of creatures and characters continue to be widely published and collected by fans of the genre.
