Maly Siri graduated in 2006 from the École Émile-Cohl in Lyon with a qualification in graphic design. Immediately after graduating, she published comic strips and illustrations with Akileos, Dupuis and Fleurus, and collaborated with several publications, including Spirou magazine, which published her comic strip Flipville in 2008. Fascinated by the aesthetic of American pin-ups from the 1940s and 1950s and by artists such as Gil Elvgren, Norman Rockwell and Alberto Vargas, she specializes in this pictorial genre, alongside a distinct taste for the retro lines of vintage car bodies. In 2010, she embarked on a high-profile collaboration with Vivienne Westwood, for whom she designed several perfume muses, including Naughty Alice, followed by Cheeky Alice, Flirty Alice and Sunny Alice. She also created designs for the Playboy brand in 2013 and 2014. Based in Montreal since 2009, she continues her editorial projects there and acts as artistic director for exhibitions, notably Pin-up: L'Exposition (Pin-Up: The Exhibition) in 2011. In 2014, one of her oil paintings was sold at Christie’s, a first for the artist.
