An Evocative Line

Olivier Pont was born in 1969. After graduating from the École des Gobelins, Olivier Pont moved to London to work on An American Tail: Fievel Goes West, produced by Spielberg, alongside his childhood friend Georges Abolin. Meanwhile, Pont won the Fnac 91 comic book contest and launched his career in the “Ninth Art.” With Georges Abolin as writer, he created Cap’taine Kucek for Vents d’Ouest, followed in 2004 by the two-part series Où le regard ne porte pas... for Dargaud. Between 2005 and 2013, he worked in advertising and directed short films before returning to comic art in 2015 with a collection of seven short stories titled DesSeins followed by Bouts d’ficelles  published in 2018 by Dargaud. In 2019, he began a new series based on a script by Régis Loisel titled Un putain de salopard , published by Rue de Sèvres. The fourth and final volume of the series, titled Le Rituel, was released in November 2024.
