To close the season before summer, the Daniel Maghen Gallery invites you to admire Olivier Pont's artwork in an exhibition dedicated to his two iconic series: Un Putain de Salopard and Où le regard ne porte pas..., presented from June 25 to July 17, 2025.

A major exhibition

More than 120 original black-and-white pages and covers, with spectacular inking, accompanied by artwork created especially for the event, will be brought together to immerse visitors in the artist's universe and enable them to admire his expressive and dynamic style.

The exhibition will display a selection of pages from the diptych Où le regard ne porte pas..., Olivier Pont's first major success as a comic artist and co-writer with Georges Abolin, published in 2004 by Dargaud. Acclaimed upon its release for the power of its narrative and the finesse of its drawings, this diptych transports us to the small Italian port of Barellito, where the idyllic atmosphere of the coastal village gradually becomes the scene of a drama.

The exhibition will also feature artwork from Un Putain de Salopard, an iconic four-volume saga published by Rue de Sèvres. This thrilling story, created by the great Régis Loisel (Grand Prix d'Angoulême 2003), is set in the Amazon and allows Olivier Pont to showcase the full richness of his artwork. All the ingredients are there: lush rainforest, illegal gold mining, logging camps, remote villages, and the quest for a lost treasure in the heart of the canopy... His style reveals a tremendous narrative power, with detailed settings, superb framing, atmospheric moods, and an impressive cast of characters.
