From August 23 to September 16, 2023, the Daniel Maghen Gallery is proud to dedicate an exhibition to two talented science fiction artists: Christophe Dubois for the Ter/Terre saga (published by Maghen) and Grun, for his new album Space Relic Hunters (published by Maghen).
Grun et Dubois, their latest albums in the spotlight
With highly graphic pages in vibrant colors and an elegant, realistic style, Christophe Dubois has brought to life a sumptuous science fiction epic, imagined by screenwriter Rodolphe. The exhibition looks back at the six volumes of the Ter/Terre saga, with a particular focus on the second cycle, which will be on display for the very first time. More than a hundred artworks—original pages, published and unpublished illustrations, paintings—will be on display, showcasing the talent of this artist, particularly his mastery of color, which gives his work an exceptional pictorial dimension.
With Space Relic Hunters (released on August 24, 2023!), written by Sylvain Runberg, Grun proves once again that he is not only an outstanding science fiction artist but also a great director. Alien peoples, spaceships, weapons, technologies... Grun imagines countless settings and characters to populate this universe. His realistic, inspired style and superb original pages, meticulously painted with colored inks, are spectacular. The exhibition presents a selection of around fifty artworks from the album, including illustrations created especially for the event. The exhibition will be complemented by around thirty pieces from his previous series On Mars (published by Maghen).
