Cosey Retrospective
36 rue du Louvre, 75001 Paris. Métro Louvre - Rivoli.
From Tuesday to Saturday, 10:30 am to 7 pm. Free entrance
To mark the release of Jonathan's latest album (published by Le Lombard) and À l’heure où les dieux dorment encore, the Daniel Maghen Gallery is proud to present a retrospective dedicated to Cosey, from November 17 to December 11, 2021.
A world steeped in spirituality
The exhibition pays tribute to Jonathan, Cosey's must-see series, which has become a comic art classic. A true invitation to travel, Cosey imagined the wanderings of Jonathan, whom he draws in his own image. A story that is both spiritual and initiatory, to be discovered through the original pages, covers and illustrations from all the albums in the series, including the latest installment published in October. Some of the originals will be accompanied by their color versions.
For the very first time, Cosey is also unveiling drawings from his travel journals, portraits and landscapes in color and black and white, as well as sketches made on the spot, most of which are published in the album À l'heure ou les dieux dorment encore (When the Gods Are Still Asleep). A selection of original artworks from À la Recherche de Peter Pan (published by Lombard), Calypso (published by Futuropolis) and Mickey (published by Glénat) will also be on display.
