Alex Alice is one of the most expensive contemporary artists on the market, with more than 1 million in cumulative sales since 2018. Her two Château des étoiles exhibitions at the Daniel Maghen Gallery each generated more than 500,000 euros in sales. The artist continues to achieve excellent results with her two classic Franco-Belgian comic book series: Siegfried and The Third Testament. A record gallery price of 30,000 € was set for an illustration from Château des étoiles titled Le Pavillon de Vénus.

To ensure that your pages are kept in good condition, we recommend that you never expose them to direct light, as UV rays can damage the media used to produce them. Although Indian ink is a perennial material, the paper support may change when exposed to UV light. Note that watercolor plates require special attention, as this medium is particularly sensitive to light. Pieces containing pastel or charcoal require special care to avoid rubbing.
We advise you to display them away from windows, and to use frames made of pH-neutral conservation materials and “Museum” glass with anti-UV and anti-reflective treatment. If you prefer to keep your works unframed, we recommend storing them flat, in drawing cartons, with sheets of pH-neutral permanent paper in between. Keep them away from light and humidity.

A French comic artist and scriptwriter born in 1974, Alex Alice first gained recognition in the early 2000s with Le Troisième Testament (1997–2003, Glénat). He further established his talent with Siegfried (2007–2011, Dargaud), which won the Spectrum Gold Award, a global benchmark in fantasy illustration. With over a million albums sold and translated into some twenty languages, Alex Alice has embraced a fresh artistic direction with his new series for all ages, Le Château des étoiles (Castle in the Stars), which has achieved international success. In 2026, Alex Alice publlished, still with the publisher Rue de Sèvres, Le Cygne noir, in the same univers. The saga comprises seven albums, a spin-off series (Les Chimères de Vénus), and several related publications (art book, sketchbook, newsletters, special editions and complete collections).
